Dr. Fujihara is a neurologist and has mainly worked in the field of multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica (NMO) and related neuroimmunological disorders. He contributed to the 2010 Revisions to McDonald Criteria in the International Panel on Diagnosis of MS, and is currently a member of the International Panel on Diagnosis of NMO. Since 2013, he has also served on the Executive Committee, IMSB of The Multiple Sclerosis International Federation, and the Board of European Charcot Foundation. He is also an inaugural member and Deputy Secretary of PACTRIMS.
